APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
After you’ve submitted your enquiry Jake will be in touch with his thoughts and if he feels a consultation will be necessary before proceeding any further.
If a consultation is needed, ideally they are face to face. However, if you are travelling from far, then we can arrange for it to be via phone call. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your ideas and make a rough plan for your project. As long as everyone is on the same page by the end of the consult, you’ll then make a booking and pay your deposit.
Jake will send a rough mock up of his ideas typically a week out from your appointment via email. This design will be based off what has been discussed during the initial inquiry and consult. When choosing to book in with Jake, you are agreeing to allow a certain amount of creative freedom, so it’s important to get your ideas clearly across before booking in.
On the day of your appointment you will see your design fully rendered and complete before you begin.
Jake retains the right to decline tattoo requests that do not align with his artistic style and interests.
Below is a basic guideline regarding Jake’s hours and the estimated completion time for a tattoo. Please note that these figures are general estimates and may vary based on the size of the canvas.
Daily working hours:
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Please be aware that these times are subject to change depending on the day's requirements. If any adjustments are necessary, Jake will communicate them accordingly.
Guideline to completion of tattoo:
Arm sleeve: 6-7 Sessions
Leg Sleeve: 8-10 Sessions
Torso panel: 6-8 sessions
Back panel: 6-8 sessions
Back & bum: 8-10 Sessions (anything further will be discussed directly with Jake.)
Hands/feet: 1 session per panel
Neck/Throat: 2-3 sessions
Head or other: Discuss directly with Jake.
If you are an interstate or international client, we can proceed with consultations over video chat or phone call.
We ask that you also prepare yourself for the financial commitment when travelling to get tattooed. For large scale pieces, this will require many sessions (timeframes above), so please plan accordingly.
If you are travelling and need somewhere close to stay, there are some options below.
To prepare yourself the day before your appointment, please adhere to these guidelines for the most comfortable experience possible.
Get a decent nights sleep the night before.
Drink plenty of water.
Moisturise the area 1 week prior to getting tattooed (not on the morning of your tattoo).
Refrain from drinking alcohol the night before.
Have a good breakfast beforehand.
Don’t shave the area: this can cause unwanted rashes or cuts prior to the appointment. Jake will do this before your appointment. If you are working on a particularly hairy area and you would like to assist beforehand, feel free to use clippers to trim the area instead.
Come alone to your appointment. We work in a creative environment and like to keep the experience between the artist and their client without any unnecessary distractions.
